Randomness

I had a few minutes so I thought I would share some randomness from last night and this afternoon.  After soccer practice Joseph went to take a shower as he normally does but when he came downstairs I couldn't help but laugh.  It is very chilly outside tonight and pretty chilly in the house as well.  Instead of digging through his drawer to find pants he decided to put on shorts and long socks that he pulled up to his knees.  That seems like way more work to me but nevertheless....it was still funny.  I had to promise not to post this photo on facebook and embarrass him but it definitely warrants posting somewhere!

And on a sweeter note.....while I was finishing up some homework this afternoon I could hear Ethan playing behind me.  I so wish I had the imagination that he has.  He was entertaining himself with the doorknob and some beads (that I'm sure he had stolen from Chloe).  It was too cute and I couldn't resist snapping a few photos.

As most everyone knows........we are a soccer family!  Not only do the kids play lots of soccer but Jeff plays his share too!  These photos were actually taken last week but I am just getting around to putting them on the computer.  This will be Ethan's first season on a real team.  He played "munchkin madness" last year but was not very happy when he learned that he actually had to share the ball with other kids!  I can't wait to watch him play.  It's also lots of fun watching the older two play soccer that is a little more organized than it is at Ethan's age.  So the photos include the kids before their first practice of the season and also include Ethan's helping Jeff deliver the new uniforms to the players on his team.  Jeff is coaching Ethan's team and Joseph's team this year. This spring is going to be busy, busy , busy with soccer.  Ethan also got new cleats and a new ball that he is showing off in the pics!

Spring Break

Last week was Spring Break for the kids.  Unfortunately I had to work everyday except for Thursday.  We decided to go to the zoo that day.  It was a BEAUTIFUL day and perfect for the zoo.  The only downside to that was that the rest of Memphis also seemed to be at the zoo.  Still, we went early to avoid most of the crowds and had a really good time.

All in all we had a great time.  The only bad part was Jeff had to work but he was able to meet us for lunch afterwards at Hueys.  I believe that Chloe would have to say that was the worst part of her day.  While Ethan was trying to blow toothpicks into the ceiling Jeff was cooking up a plan of his own.  Poor Chloe was tagged in the face with a spitball by her father...YUCK!
Later that evening to finish off our fun day we went to the soccer field to watch Jeff play soccer.

My Journey Into the World of Blogging

I decided to attempt this whole blogging thing because I am not doing a very good job at scrapbooking or journaling events in our life.  The sole purpose of this blog is to collect memories for my family.  If someone happens to want to read it..great!  I am not one that likes to have my life on display any more than it already is but I owe it to my kids to keep a record of our good and bad times as a family.  I love my little family more than they can ever know and even though they LOVE to complain about all the photos I take it is my hope that one day when they are bigger and can look back at this they will be happy!  I can't promise that I will be diligent about posting but my theory has always been that some is better than none!
